Svend Aage Holm Sørensen (1913–2004)
Decorative table lamp designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, Denmark, approx. 1960s.
The lamp is made of black-lacquered wrought iron with a sculptural structure of slender, vertical steel profiles, where inset glass panels in turquoise and cobalt blue shades form a lively, geometric composition. The various rectangular and circular glass elements give the lamp a graphic expression that changes character depending on light and viewing angle.
The simple black construction creates a striking contrast to the clear glass colors and highlights Holm Sørensen's characteristic combination of wrought iron and colored glass. The lamp works both as lighting and as a decorative sculpture.
Mounted on a black-painted wooden base.
In very good condition with normal age-related signs of use.
Sold without lampshade.
Denmark, approx. 1960s.
