Royal Worcester jug in turquoise-glazed ceramic with a modelled dragon, England, approx. 1875.
The jug has a rounded body and a tall, slender neck, decorated all over the surface with a stylised, repeating wave pattern in dark blue against the clear turquoise glaze.
A large three-dimensional dragon winds around the neck and body, its long body also forming the handle of the jug. The dragon is executed in a bronze-coloured shade with gilded details and modelled legs and claws. The mouth is finished with a geometric border in matching bronze colour and gold.
The underside bears Royal Worcester's crowned factory mark.
England, approx. 1875.
