✓ In stock (1 available)
Rare original French Art Nouveau poster, drawn by Adolphe Léon Willette (1857–1926) and published in Paris in 1915.
The poster was created in connection with the national fundraising day “Journée du Poilu” on 25–26 December 1915, in support of the soldiers at the front during the First World War.
The motif, with the text “Enfin seuls…!” (“Alone at last!”), shows a French soldier returning home on leave for Christmas and embracing his wife, a motif typical of its time, reflecting the privations and hopes of the First World War.
