Pair of CH28 “Sawbuck Chairs” designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1951 and produced by Carl Hansen & Søn in the 1950s.

The chairs are made of oak with seat and back upholstered in black leather.
The CH28 is characterized by its distinctive construction with angled legs and the characteristic wide armrests, which rest on the frame and give the chair its sculptural expression.

The organic shapes and finely crafted joints are characteristic of Wegner's work and his deep understanding of the properties of wood and traditional joinery details.

The chairs are in fine original condition with a beautiful, natural age-related patina. They have been in the same family's ownership since the 1950s.
