Gustavian chest of drawers in black paint, Sweden ca. 1780-1790

Architectural and decorative Gustavian chest of drawers made of pine with beautiful black paint and fine patina, where the warm color of the wood shows through the surface and gives the piece a characterful expression.

Profiled top with a finely carved dentil frieze above a fluted band that elegantly continues around the carcass.

The front is built with three spacious drawers with profiled panels and original brass fittings. The sturdy corner pilasters are fluted and finish at the bottom in distinctive block-shaped details that emphasize the architectural character of the piece.

The chest rests on characteristic rectangular legs with fluted panels.
