Description

Gustavian chatol in 2 parts, made of oak in a grayish-white color with a beautiful patina.

The chatol is built in two parts with a classic upper section with double doors with profiled panels, brass fittings and wrought-iron hinges.
Behind the doors there are shelves, well suited for storage. At the top, a fitting for hanging silverware.
At the top, the profiled crown is decorated with fine dentil molding, which underlines the Gustavian style.

The lower part has carrying handles on the sides and a sloping writing flap, which opens to a beautifully arranged writing interior in a lovely shade of blue. Here there are several small drawers and a central cabinet with a fluted front and lock.

At the bottom, 4 drawers with brass fittings. The top drawer is narrow and has a decorative fluted front. Below are 3 larger drawers with architecturally detailed panels, flanked by quarter columns.

The chatol is finished with a decorative carved wooden cornice with dentil molding, and the whole piece rests on fluted legs.

An extremely decorative and functional piece of furniture with lots of character and a fine patina.
