Elegant French hall lantern made of solid brass with facet-cut glass panels and fine details in Directoire style.
The lantern is built around a light and elegant construction with tall facet-cut glass panels framed by slender brass columns mounted between the upper and lower rings. Both the top and bottom rings end in small decorative finials, which underline the lantern's architectural and classical expression.
At the top, the construction is carried by an open, dome-shaped “crown” with curved brass arms and decorative ball details, which gather around the central suspension.
Inside, the lamp is fitted with four light arms, which give a beautiful and atmospheric light through the facet-cut glass.
Very fine condition - however, the cord should be replaced.
