Carl Johan Bonnesen

Carl Johan Bonnesen, 1868–1933.
Large and rare unique sculpture of two courting bears, made in glazed ceramic with a beautiful, copper-containing glaze in a lively play of colors. The glaze clearly references classic Sung glazes, interpreted in a powerful and characteristic Nordic style.
