Bjørn Wiinblad – rare unique table

Rare unique table hand-decorated by Bjørn Wiinblad and signed and dated 2001.

The table was custom made for Bjørn Wiinblad's cousin and differs markedly from the artist's production with its unusual octagonal shape.
The ceramic tabletop and the light cherry wood construction make the table particularly well suited for a garden room or an orangery.

The tabletop is composed of hand-decorated ceramic tiles in polychrome painting. The central decoration shows a musical figure composition surrounded by Wiinblad's characteristic fairytale universe with harlequins, musicians and stylized figures, while the wide border is adorned with a colorful ornamental pattern that elegantly frames the composition.

The tiles are mounted in a custom-made frame of solid cherry wood with four cylindrical legs, whose simple design lets the ceramic decoration stand as the table's natural focus.
