Jorn worked with painting, sculpture, graphic art and ceramics. His works are characterized by powerful colors, energetic brushstrokes and imaginative, often expressive figures, inspired by Nordic mythology, folk art and the subconscious.

Today Asger Jorn is regarded as one of the most important Nordic artists of the 20th century. His works are represented in museums and private collections worldwide, and the largest collection is at Museum Jorn in Silkeborg
